How to Request Data Deletion
Under privacy laws including GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and PIPA (South Korea), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Since Realbook uses anonymous authentication, the process is simple:
- Send an email to the address below
- Include your Sync User ID (shown in the App under Settings → Cloud Sync → tap and hold to copy)
- Specify which data you want deleted (sync data, analytics data, or all)
- You will receive a confirmation within 10 business days

What Cannot Be Deleted
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be traced back to a specific user
- Data retained for legal compliance (if any — typically not applicable to this App)
Alternative: Self-Service Deletion
You can also manually delete data from within the App:
- Local data: App Info → Clear Data (Android), or uninstall the App
- Cloud data: Settings → Cloud Sync → toggle sync off (stops new data from syncing; existing cloud data still requires an email request for full deletion)
- Opt out of personalized ads: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
Legal Basis
- GDPR Article 17: Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- CCPA Section 1798.105: Right to delete personal information
- 한국 개인정보보호법 제21조: 개인정보 파기 의무
