Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026 · Version 1.0

1. About This Policy

Realbook ("the App") is an ebook reader developed and operated by an individual developer ("I", "me", "my"). This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you use the App, how it is used, and what rights you have.

I take a minimal-data approach. The App does not require an account, email address, or password. Most features work entirely offline, and cloud sync is optional and anonymous.

2. What Data Is Collected

2.1 Data You Provide

The App does not collect any personal information that directly identifies you — no name, email address, phone number, or password. Cloud sync uses an anonymous identifier (random UUID) generated automatically — no sign-up form is ever presented.

11. CCPA / CPRA Notice (California Residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have additional rights. The App does not sell personal information as defined by CCPA. AdMob may use your Advertising ID for personalized ads, which under some interpretations could be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of data. You can opt out of personalized ads via your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android).

12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the Play Store listing. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
