By downloading, installing, or using Realbook ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Realbook is a free ebook reader application that supports EPUB, PDF, TXT, CBZ, CBR, MOBI, AZW3, FB2, and DOCX formats. The App offers an optional cloud sync feature for your reading data (books, highlights, bookmarks) across devices, and includes a catalog of free classic public-domain books. The App is supported by banner advertisements.
The App is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:
You are responsible for the ebook files you import into the App. You must have the legal right to possess and read any content you add. The App does not host, share, or distribute your imported files — they remain on your device. The free classic book catalog contains only public-domain works.
If you believe copyrighted material has been improperly included, contact me at the email below for immediate removal.
The cloud sync feature is optional and requires an anonymous account (random identifier, no email or password). Sync data is stored on Supabase servers. I make reasonable efforts to keep sync available and consistent but do not guarantee zero data loss. You should maintain local backups of important reading data.
The App displays banner advertisements via Google AdMob. Ad content is provided by Google and its advertising partners. I do not control ad content. If you encounter inappropriate ads, you can report them through Google's ad reporting tools.
The App integrates third-party services (Firebase, Supabase, Google AdMob). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. I am not responsible for changes to, or discontinuation of, these third-party services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. I DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL FILE FORMATS AND DEVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DEVICE DAMAGE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate at any time by deleting the App from your device. I reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to cloud sync services at any time, with or without cause.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.
I may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the Play Store listing. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
